Timbertown Log Listing: *During World War II, fill sand was taken from a ridge south of Stroebel Road. This removal exposed a number of human remains. This area was most likely an early Indian burial ground. Another Indian burial site was found on the former Charles Bussinger farm, about 1000 feet south east of the Jordan School. Amateur archeologists located numerous artifacts and over 100 burials in this wind blown sand ridge. This information compiled about the cemeteries of Saginaw County was taken from a number of resources by the previous county coordinators. Some of this information was compiled by the individual township supervisors of the county in the late 1960's and provided to us by Patrick Bohinski. |
