Kochville Methodist Cemetery
United Methodist Cemetery
alternate name Lawndale Evangelical Cemetery *The Saginaw County Register of Deeds holds and interesting number of land transfer records that show the transfer of ownership of an area now known to be an Indian Burial Ground. The area is currently a part of the grounds of Saginaw Valley College. The land transfer that took place in 1878 between Leonard Walters and his wife and Francis Poierrier agree that there will be no further burials on this land. This land on the grounds of the Saginaw Valley College is near the old Indian Reservation just west of Davis Road.
This information compiled about the cemeteries of Saginaw County was taken from a number of resources by the previous county coordinators. Some of this information was compiled by the individual township supervisors of the county in the late 1960's and provided to us by Patrick Bohinski. |
