SPAULDING. (also spelled Spalding in older records) Salina - Absorbed by the City of Saginaw in 1873. Laid out by William Gallagher after the discovery of salt, thus the name Salina in 1860. The post office was later named Spaulding and then appropriately South Saginaw, which it is still sometimes called today. South Saginaw - See Salina above. |

Olivet Cemetery - Established in 1910 and covers an area of 93 acres. It is located on Washington Rd. south of Forest Lawn Cemetery. The cemetery is owned by the Catholic Cemetery Commission - Saginaw Catholic Diocese.
